We had a fabulously jam-packed festive season this year! We started the fun with a four-week Festive Season Singing Workshop, during which time 15 guests learned two songs with us, while developing their singing and performance skills. We then performed these songs at our Christmas Concert for an audience of around 80 friends and family members. This concert also featured quartets, a trio, and a range of non-Christmas repertoire for variety.

We then performed over three weekends at Albany Creek Village, singing for shoppers and centre staff - and Santa! We also completed our reasonably new annual tradition of getting a photo with Santa!

We also had two bookings for big outdoor community carols events. Unfortunately the North Lakes Christmas Carols were cancelled due to a lot of rain in the lead-up to the event, which prevented the required setup, but we made the most of our free time by having a get-together at Nat G's house! Thankfully, the weather was kind to us on the day of the Pine Rivers Christmas Carols, where we performed for thousands of attendees! It was our first time at this massive community carols event and we hope to return in future.

We also had the opportunity to add a little sparkle to a staff Christmas party in the iconic Howard Smith Wharves precinct, at Crystalbrook Vincent. It was lovely to see the looks of surprise and joy as guests came out of the lifts and spotted our group of carollers at the entrance to the party🎶

This was the first Blue Sky Harmony festive season for six of our members! Lynette, Riley, Naomi, Janeen, Terri and Louise (clockwise from top left in the photo below) learned a tonne of repertoire for our carolling events and performed like they've been with us for years. Congratulations to all of these fabulous singers!

Our fantastic new members who performed in their first carols season with us!

We love the festive season because we get so many opportunities to perform, share our harmonies and add joy to people's days. We really appreciate the smiles, thumbs-ups and waves from audience members and those who walk past us at shopping centre gigs! Can't wait until the next one ðŸ˜Š
