Honouring Local Volunteers

On 14 November, Blue Sky Harmony performed at the Everton Volunteer Awards, hosted by Tim Mander MP, State Member for Everton. These awards are presented annually to acknowledge the hard-working volunteers in our community for their work across community organisations, schools and sporting clubs.

The major award-winner this year was Charles Tibbets, President of Everton Wolves Junior Australian Football Club, with awards also going to volunteers from Arana Hills SES, Lions Club of Brisbane Bunya, Albany Creek Brumbies Junior Rugby Club, and Everton Park State School P&C Association. There were many more nominees from organisations that do incredible work, and we congratulate them all!

Blue Sky Harmony was proud to entertain the volunteers, their supporters, and honourable guests including Cr Tracy Davis, Councillor for McDowall Ward. We sang to open the awards ceremony, during the break, and then at the start of the second session – we had everyone clapping along!
